Ѕince, thou art a disciple of the lord, thou didst receive the gospel, O righteous one, and since thou art a martyr thou art never rejected, And since thou art a brother of the Lord, thou art privileged, and since Thou art high priest, it is thine to intercede. Wherefore, beseech thou Christ God save our souls.

مَريمُ وَالدَةُ الإِلَهِ ، الخِدرُ الحَصينُ للعَريسِ السَّمَاويِّ، تُولَدُ مِنَ العَاقرِ بمَشيئةٍ إِلَهِيَّةٍ، لتَكونَ مَركبةً للإلهِ الكَلِمَةِ، لأنَّها كُرِّسَت لذلك منذُ البَدءِ، بما أنها البابُ الإلهيُّ وَأُمُّ الحياةِ بالحقيقةِ.

THE EPISTLE
O LORD, save your people, and bless your heritage;To You, O LORD, have I called, O my God. (Psalm 27 <28>:9, 1) The Reading from Saint Paul's letter the Galatians (Galatians 6:11-18) Brethren, see with what large letters I have written to you with my own hand! It is those who want to make a good showing in the flesh, that try to compel you to be circumcised, only that they may not suffer persecution for the cross of Christ. Even those who are circumcised do not themselves keep the law, but they want you to be circumcised that they may boast about your flesh. But God forbid that I should boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world. For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision is anything, but a new creation is everything. And as for those who walk according to this rule, peace and mercy be upon them, and upon the Israel of God. From now on let no one do trouble for me, for I carry the marks of the Lord Jesus branded in my body. Brethren, the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.

يا إخوة, انظروا ما أعظم الحروفَ التي أخطّها لكم بيدي. هؤلاء الذين يريدون التفاخر بظاهر الجسد هم الذين يلزمونكم الختان, وما ذلك إلا ليهربوا من الاضطهاد في سبيل صليب المسيح, لانّ الذين يختتون لا يحفظون الشريعة, ولكنّهم يريدون أن تختتنوا ليفاخروا بجسدكم. أما أنا فلن أفاخر إلا بصليب ربنا يسوع المسيح. به صار العالم مصلوباً بالنسبة إلي, وصرت أنا مصلوباً بالنسبة إلى العالم. فما الختان بشيء ولا القلف بشيء, وإنما الشيء أن يكون الإنسان خليقة جديدة. والسلام والرحمة على الذين يسلكون هذا السبيل وعلى شعب الله. فلا يزعجْني أحدٌ بعد الآن, لأني أحمل في جسدي سمات يسوع. ولتكن مع روحكم, أيها الاخوة, نعمة ربنا يسوع المسيح. آمين.

The reading from the Holy Gospel according to Saint John (John 3:13-17)
The Lord said; "No one has ascended to heaven but He who descended from heaven, the Son of Man. And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. For God sent His Son into the world, not to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through Him might."

The Lord said: "The eye is the lamp of the body. So, if your eye is sound, your whole body will be full of light; but if your eye is not sound, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light in you is darkness, how great is the darkness! No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon. Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you shall eat or what you shall drink, nor about your body, what you shall put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? And which of you by being anxious can add one cubit to his span of life? And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they neither toil nor spin; yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, O men of little faith? Therefore do not be anxious, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or "What shall we drink?' or "What shall we wear?"For the Gentiles seek all these things; and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things shall be yours as well."
