Ѕince, thou art a disciple of the lord, thou didst receive the gospel, O righteous one, and since thou art a martyr thou art never rejected, And since thou art a brother of the Lord, thou art privileged, and since Thou art high priest, it is thine to intercede. Wherefore, beseech thou Christ God save our souls.

KONTAKION OF THE THEOTOKOS IN TONE 2
O Protectress of Christians that cannot be put to shame, and their constant intercessor before the Creator, despise not the petitions of us sinners who are imploring you; in your goodness come to our help, who in faith cry to you: hasten, O Theotokos, to intercede for us, and hurry to pray for us, for you have always protected those who honor you.
Today’s Liturgical offering Holy Bread is offered by Nabeeh Neshiewat and his family for the good health and eternal memory of their loved ones.

THE EPISTLE Blessed are Thou, O Lord, the God of our Father For Thou art just in all that Thou hast done The Reading from Saint Paul's letter to Titus (Titus 3:8-15) Titus, my son, the saying is sure, I desire that you insist on these things, so that those who have believed in God may be careful to maintain good works. These things are excellent and profitable to men. But avoid stupid controversies, genealogies, contentions, and quarrels about the law; for they are unprofitable and useless. Keep away from a divisive man after the first and second admonition, knowing that such a person is perverted and sinful, being self-condemned. When I send Artemas to you, or Tychicus, spare no effort to come to me at Nicopolis, for I have decided to spend the winter there. Do your best to help Zenas the lawyer and Apollos get started on their travels, and see that they may lack nothing. And let our people also learn to practice good works, to meet urgent needs, so that they may not be unfruitful. All who are with me greet you. Greet those who love us in the faith. Grace be with you all. Amen.
THE GOSPEL
The reading from the Holy Gospel according to Saint Luke The Lord spoke this parable: "A sower went out to sow his seeds; and as he sowed, some fell along the path, and was trodden under foot, and the birds of the air devoured it. And some fell on the rock; and as it grew up, it withered away, because it has no moisture. And some fell among thorns; and the thorns grew with it and choked it. And some fell into good soil and grew, and yielded a hundred fold." As he said this, he called out, "He who has ears to hear, let him hear." And when his disciples asked him what this parable meant, he said, "To you it has been given to know the secrets of the kingdom of God; but for others they are in parables, so that seeing they may not see, and hearing they may not understand. Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God. The ones along the path are those who have heard; then the evil comes and takes away the word from their hearts, that they may not believe and be saved. And the ones on the rock are those who, when they hear the word, receive it with joy; but these have no root, they believe for a while and in time of temptation fall away. And as for what fell among the thorns, they are those who hear, but as they go on their way they are choked by the cares and riches and pleasures of life, and their fruit does not mature. And as for that in the good soil, they are those who, hearing the word, hold it fast in an honest and good heart, and bring forth fruit with patience.

SUNDAY TROPARION IN TONE 7
Thou didst shatter death by thy Cross, thou didst open paradise to the thief; thou didst turn the mourning of the ointment-bearing women into joy; thou didst bid thine apostles proclaim a warning that thou hast risen, O Christ God, granting to the world great mercy.

THE EPISTLE
The LORD will give strength to his people. Ascribe to the LORD, O sons of God, ascribe to the Lord Honor and glory (Psalm 29 <28>:11, 1) The Reading from Saint Paul's second letter to the Corinthians(2 Corinthians 6:1-10) Brethren, we then, as workers together with Him also urge you not to receive the grace of God in vain. For He says: "In an acceptable time I have listened to you, and in the day of salvation I have helped you." Behold, now is the acceptable time; behold, now is the day of salvation! We are not putting obstacle in anyone's way, so that no blame may be found with our ministry. But in every way we have commended ourselves as ministers of God: through great endurance, in tribulations, needs, distresses, stripes, imprisonments, riots, labors, sleepless nights, fastings; by purity, by knowledge, by patience, by kindness, by the gifts of the Holy Spirit, by sincere love, by the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armor of righteousness, for the right hand and for the left, in honor and dishonor, in ill report and good report; We are treated as deceivers, and yet are true; as unknown, and yet are well known; as dying, and behold we are alive; as punished, and yet not killed; as sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.

THE GOSPEL
The reading from the Holy Gospel according to Saint Luke. (Luke 6:31-36.) The Lord said: "And as you wish that men would do to you, do so to them. If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them. And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same. And if you lend to those from whom you hope to receive, what credit is that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners, to receive as much again. But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return despairing of no man; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High; for He is kind to the ungrateful and the selfish. Be merciful, even as your Father is merciful."

SUNDAY TROPARION IN THE SIXTH TONE
When Mary stood at thy grave looking for thy sacred body, angelic powers shown above thy reverend tomb and the soldiers who were to keep guard became as dead men. Thou led Hades captive without being afflicted by it. Thou didst meet the Virgin, and didst give Life to the world, O thou, that art arisen from the dead, O Lord glory to thee!
TROPARION FOR SAINT CHARITON, TONE 8
The streams of your tears made the barren wilderness bloom; and your deep sighing made your labors fruitful a hundred-fold. You have become a star for the universe, shining with miracles. O Righteous Father CHARITON, intercede with Christ God to save oursouls.

The reading is from Saint Paul's Second Letter to the Corinthians. (II Cor. 4:6-15)
Brethren, it is God who said, "Let light shine out of darkness," who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ. But we have this treasurer in earthen vessels, to show that the transcendent power belongs to God and not to us. We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed; always carrying in the body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be manifested in our bodies. For while we live we are always being given up to death for Jesus' sake, so that the life of Jesus may be manifested in our mortal flesh. So death is at work in us, but life in you. Since we have the same spirit of faith as he had who wrote, "I believed, and so I spoke," we too believed, and so we speak, knowing that he who raised the Lord Jesus will raise us also with Jesus and bring us with youinto his presence. For it is all for your sake, so that as grace extends to more and more people it may increase thanksgiving, to the glory of God.

THE GOSPEL
The reading from the Holy Gospel according to Saint Luke. Luke 5:1-11.
At that time, while the people pressed upon Jesus to hear the word of God, he was standing by the lake of Gennesaret. And he saw two boats by the lake; but the fishermen had gone out of them and were washing their nets. Getting into one of the boats, which was Simon's, he asked him to put out a little from the land. And he sat down and taught the people from the boat. And when he had ceased speaking, he said to Simon, "Put out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch." And Simon answered, "Master, we toiled all night and took nothing! But at your word I will let down the nets." And when they had done this, they enclosed a great shoal of fish; and as their nets were breaking, they beckoned to their partners in the other boat to come and help them. And they came and filled both the boats, so that they began to sink. But when Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus' knees, saying, "Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, O Lord." For he was astonished, and all that were with him, at the catch of fish which they had taken; and so also were James and John, sons of Zebedee, who were partners with Simon. And Jesus said to Simon, "Do not be afraid; henceforth you will be catching men." And when they had brought their boats to land, they left everything and followed him.
