Thou didst shatter death by thy Cross, thou didst open paradise to the thief; thou didst turn the mourning of the ointment-bearing women into joy; thou didst bid thine apostles proclaim a warning that thou hast risen, O Christ God, granting to the world great mercy.

TROPARION OF SAINT JAMES, IN THE FOURTH TONE
Ѕince, thou art a disciple of the lord, thou didst receive the gospel, O righteous one, and since thou art a martyr thou art never rejected, And since thou art a brother of the Lord, thou art privileged, and since Thou art high priest, it is thine to intercede. Wherefore, beseech thou Christ God save our souls.

KONTAKION OF THE THEOTOKOS IN TONE 2
O Protectress of Christians that cannot be put to shame, and their constant intercessor before the Creator, despise not the petitions of us sinners who are imploring you; in your goodness come to our help, who in faith cry to you: hasten, O Theotokos, to intercede for us, and hurry to pray for us, for you have always protected those who honor you.
قنداق السيدة على اللحن الثاني
يا شفيعة المسيحيين غير المخذولة, المتوسطة لدى الخالق غير المردودة, لا تعرضي عن أصوات طلباتنا نحن الخطأة, بل تداركينا بالمعونة بما أنك صالحة نحن الصارخين إليك بإيمان: بادري إلى الشفاعة وأسرعي في الطلبة, يا والدة الإله المتشفعة دائماً في مكرميك. Today’s Liturgical offering Holy Bread is offered by Hani Fakhoury and his family for the good health and eternal memory of their loved ones.

THE EPISTLE
The LORD will give strength to his people. Ascribe to the LORD, O sons of God, ascribe to the Lord Honor and glory (Psalm 29 <28>:11, 1) The Reading from Saint Paul's second letter to the Corinthians(2 Corinthians 6:1-10) Brethren, we then, as workers together with Him also urge you not to receive the grace of God in vain. For He says: "In an acceptable time I have listened to you, and in the day of salvation I have helped you." Behold, now is the acceptable time; behold, now is the day of salvation! We are not putting obstacle in anyone's way, so that no blame may be found with our ministry. But in every way we have commended ourselves as ministers of God: through great endurance, in tribulations, needs, distresses, stripes, imprison­ments, riots, labors, sleepless nights, fastings; by purity, by knowledge, by patience, by kindness, by the gifts of the Holy Spirit, by sincere love, by the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armor of righteousness, for the right hand and for the left, in honor and dishonor, in ill report and good report; We are treated as deceivers, and yet are true; as unknown, and yet are well known; as dying, and behold we are alive; as punished, and yet not killed; as sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.

الرسالة
الرب يؤتي العزّة شعبَه, قدّموا للربّ يا أبناءَ الله. قدّموا للربّ مجداً وعزّا. فصلٌ من رسالةِ القديسِ بولس الرسول الثانية إلى أهل كورنثس يا اخوة, نحن في عملنا مع الله ننصح لكم ألا يكون قبولكم نعمة الله لغير فائدة. فإنّه يقول: "في وقت الرضى استجيب لك, وفي يوم الخلاص أغيثك." وها هو الآن وقت الرضى, وها هو الآن يوم الخلاص. لا نجعلْ لأحد سبيلا للعثار لئلا ينال خدمتنا لوم, بل نظهر أنفسنا في كلّ شيء أننا خدم الله بصبرنا في الشدائد والحاجات والمشقات والجَلد والسجن والاضطراب والتعب والسهر والصوم, بالنزاهة والمعرفة وطول الأناة والرفق وبمواهب الروح القدس والمحبة الخالصة, بكلام الحقّ وقدرة الله وسلاح البرّ, عن اليمين وعن اليسار, بالكرامة والهوان, بسوء السمعة وحسنها. نُحْسَب كاذبين ونحن صادقون, مجهولين ونحن معروفون, مائتين وها نحن أحياء, مُعَاقبين ولا نُقتل, محزونين ونحن دائماً فرحون, فقراء ونغني كثيرا من الناس, لا شيء عندنا ونحن نملك كلّ شيء
THE GOSPEL
The reading from the Holy Gospel according to Saint Luke. (Luke 6:31-36.) The Lord said: "And as you wish that men would do to you, do so to them. If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them. And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same. And if you lend to those from whom you hope to receive, what credit is that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners, to receive as much again. But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return despairing of no man; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High; for He is kind to the ungrateful and the selfish. Be merciful, even as your Father is merciful."

الإنجيل
فصلٌ شريفٌ من بشارةِ القديسِ لوقا
قال الرب: عاملوا الناس مثلما تريدون أن يعاملوكم. فإن أحببتم من يحبونكم, فأي فضل لكم؟ لان الخاطئين يحبون من يحبونهم. وإن أحسنتم إلى من يحسنون إليكم فأي فضل لكم؟ لان الخاطئين يفعلون ذلك. وإن أقرضتم من ترجون أن تستوفوا منه, فأي فضل لكم؟ فالخاطئون أنفسهم يقرضون خاطئين ليستوفوا قرضهم. ولكن أحبوا أعداءكم وأحسنوا وأقرضوا غير راجين عوضا, فيكون أجركم عظيما, وتكونوا أبناء الله العلي, لانه ينعم على الكفرة والأشرار. كونوا رحماء كما أن أباكم رحيم.
